Christmas at the parsonage

My first Christmas since moving to Montana this year was a delightful one. In addition to the nice gifts from Belinda and Charles, we had a wonderful meal, courtesy of the the Christmas Day potluck hosted by the Corvallis UMC.

 The activities never seem to slow down here in Stevensville! Yesteday was the annual Christmas party hosted by the Stevensville UMC United Methodist Women, so much fun! And then today we visited the last of the holiday bazaars for the season, this one at the Corvallis UMC (just south of Stevensville).

Today we ventured out to take in another bazaar, this one in Florence which is just north of Stevensville.

It's cold on Main Street!

Each month, on First Friday, Stevensville's Main Street comes alive with special entertainment, foods, and bargains. Tonight, the lights placed above the street were turned on and though it was bitter cold there were still a lot of people out and about.

Belinda and I were busy today, wrapping up gifts to place in shoe boxes which will then be taken to the Blackfeet Reservation here in Montana.

 Holiday bazaars are a treat and here in the Bitterroot Valley we took in two of these events today: one in Hamilton at the fairgrounds and the other in Victor at its school.

 Belinda celebrated her birthday in style this month with several occasions the turning of another year. Rob came for a visit early in the month which always makes for a special family time. The Stevensville Senior Center's monthly birthday lunch and of course a visit to Cracker Barrel in Missoula make for a happy birthday girl!

What fun it was, coming together to get the church entry for the Stevensville Scarecrow Festival ready and to install it on the path leading into town.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the THIRTY-FIVE (35) UMCOR school kits that are being shipped this week. I had fun joining the church ladies in assembling the kits.

A day in Corvallis

 

 

The Western Mountains District (Yellowstone Conference) of the United Methodist Women met today at Corvallis UMC for the fall gathering. I went along with Belinda and Charles and had a splendid time!

A jaunt to Hamilton

A visit to the Hamilton Farmer's Market with Belinda's friend Judie Clark (from Nebraska/Minnesota) was a real treat today. Such colors and tastes!

I'm a Montanan now!

The transition to Montana is complete with a new driver's license and license plates on my car. The first two digits, "13," indicate that I am living in Ravalli County.

Each summer, Belinda and Charles host a parsonage open house for the congregation complete with ice cream floats! It was nice to be able to include my suite in this year's tour!

Charles returned to San Angelo this week to pack up my patio home on Pinto Path for the move to Montana. What a challenge in the Texas heat!

The Big Day arrived with picture-perfect weather and a whirl of last minute activities ahead of the event at Denver's Trinity UMC.  There was laughter, a few tears and lots of joy present as this wonderful couple began married life.
