Happy Veterans' Day and Happy Thanksgiving!

The Rio Concho West folks invited residents who were veterans to display pictures of themselves during their service days. I was the only woman veteran whose picture was displayed this year... even though my service was for England, but after all, we are Allies!)

Thanksgiving time is always a good time to reflect on one's blessings. I am so grateful for my family and friends and for such a wonderful place to live.

And I had fun making this special Thanksgiving cake! It was my contribution toward the annual Thanksgiving Day dinner held at the RCW Clubhouse. Every year, our hairdresser Jeannie and her husband Dusty thoughtfully provide a special meal for residents at the RCW.

Happy "All Saints Day" from San Angelo, Texas: Yee-haw! I was happy to be able to visit with my dear friend Saundra (who lives in San Antonio).

It was time for another trip to McCamey, this time for Belinda's birthday! We made a visit to Allredge Gardens in Midland with several McCamey UMC members to celebrate!

We had a fun dinner party tonight at one of the local restaurants in McCamey. It was the place to be! I am is really enjoying meeting some of the friendly folks who live here.

With temps breaking 100 today it was time to stay indoors! Belinda and I  enjoyed more visiting and more shopping. Later, while Charles was running some errands, he discovered a new sheep being delivered to the Realtor Association. One never knows what will be seen on the streets of San Angelo!

It was hot today, 104F!!! The cool weather of this weekend is now just a distant memory!

I spent this afternoon volunteering at the primary school book sale. What a fun thing to do! This evening, we went to the annual UMW mother-daughter dinner. What a great group of ladies!!!

Anne's Visit!

Another dear friend Anne visited me in the fall. We had a great time! We watched the ENTIRE "Vicar of Dibley" English comedy series! We attended the annual Daughters of the British Empire (DBE)-sponsored "Taste of Britain." We also enjoyed attending the San Angelo symphony concert downtown. In some downtime, Anne enjoyed reading the paper on the back patio.
