What a Wonderful Luau We Had Tonight!

We had a wonderful time at the luau tonight! Our hostesses were so welcoming (as always). The company assembled was good natured and fun loving. We enjoyed a delicious meal and played Bunko, which was fun!

All Set for a Great Luau ... San Angelo Style!

We are all set for a great time at the luau tonight. I hope folks will enjoy the pineapple-upside-down cake I baked.

Shopping in the City

Today was a really nice day. Belinda and I relaxed in the morning, and then in the afternoon, we went shopping at my favorite consignment shop in San Angelo: Breeze's Boutique!

I found a nice Hawaiian shirt that I plan to wear with my yellow capri pants. It will be perfect for the luau I'll be attending at RCW next month!

(FYI: It is located at 2421 College Hills Blvd., and its phone number is 325.223.2421.)

Praise God for a lovely day!!!

Getting Even More Connected...

I got my laptop going today. It was great to be able to email and surf the internet!

Shopping at the Mall...

My daughter Belinda and I had a great time at the mall today.
We got some great buys. One of the purchases was my new cell phone. I decided on an AT&T "Go" phone.
It is appropriately named since I am all about "go-go-going" these days!

Sheep In and Around San Angelo...

Yes, I said SHEEP... all around San Angelo, Texas! Actually, there are loads of artistic renditions of sheep. Here are just a few that can be seen in this fair town.

Happy 4th!

Nothing says Independence Day like fresh blueberry scones!

Group Outing to Nearby Places

A group of us from the Rio Concho West (RCW) retirement community took a bus trip to visit some interesting places nearby.
We began at Hummer House, where we observed humming birds from an air-conditioned viewing room. We enjoyed a very interesting presentation about them.
Afterwards, we had a great lunch at a nearby Mexican food restaurant.
After lunch, we toured the local monastery and its gift shop (with fabulous baked goods and honey and wine).
What a great day!

Shopping in San Angelo

Here I am shopping in San Angelo with my daughter Belinda (who took this picture of me)... trying on this lovely hat. And I took a picture of her trying on a pink cowgirl hat.
YEE-HAW!

A Visit from the Colorado Hammitts!

It was wonderful to welcome the Colorado Hammitts to my new digs this past month!
They stayed with me overnight... on their way south to San Antonio for a visit.

A Beautiful Housewarming Present

Thanks to my friend Dorothy! She made a very special flower arrangement for my new home... using my favorite colors. I just love this flower arrangement which brightens up my dining room table!
In the picture's background, you can see the lovely fruit basket that the retirement community's staff brought by to welcome me. (The fruit was delicious!)
