RCW's Tour of Lights

It was fun to meet at the RCW Clubhouse and join the group for a tour of holiday lights around the town of San Angelo!

Rainy Days are ALWAYS Welcome!

These pictures were taken in my back garden. Rainy days are great!

Shopping at the Local Mall

Here I am sporting some fun sunglasses during a visit to our local mall.

My Son Rob Stops By for a Visit

Rob stopped by for a quick visit. It is always a delight to see him! (This picture was taken inside the historic Cactus Hotel in downtown San Angelo.)

Anne's Visit!

Another dear friend Anne visited me in the fall. We had a great time! We watched the ENTIRE "Vicar of Dibley" English comedy series! We attended the annual Daughters of the British Empire (DBE)-sponsored "Taste of Britain." We also enjoyed attending the San Angelo symphony concert downtown. In some downtime, Anne enjoyed reading the paper on the back patio.

More fun with Saundra

Belinda and I and our dear friend Saundra enjoyed another fun day in San Angelo today. We visited West End Collectibles, a great place to discover one-of-a-kind treasures/antiques. And then found a wonderful wooden statue of St. Francis of Assisi, which we presented to Saundra just before she departed this afternoon. While at West End Collectibles, we saw a terrific idea about supporting the local adult literacy program in town. (See poster above!) Then we dashed downtown, where Saundra treated us to a delicious lunch at the Mesquite Bean Cafe in the historic Cactus Hotel.

Afterwards, we toured the hotel, which is the tallest structure in San Angelo. Thanks to the kindness of a hotel employee, we were allowed to tour the top floor and to take a fabulous photograph of the downtown area below. Praise be to God for a lovely day in San Angelo!!!

Saundra's Visit!

At the end of October, my dear friend Saundra visited me from San Antonio. We had a great time eating out at different restaurants, going shopping, watching videos. It was a great "slumber party" fun-time weekend!

Stitchery Retreat Weekend Fun!

I really enjoyed attending "The Great Get-away" stitching retreat at the YO Hotel in Kerrville, Texas, September 4-6, 2009.

Happy times!

Tonight we went to the Rio Concho West's monthly birthday dinner party at the club-house. The food was delicious! They always have fun entertainment. This month, Shirley led everyone in singing some of the oldies and goodies. A fun time was had by all!
